boccia trophies boccia team and medals

Boccia can be played by individuals, pairs, or teams of three. All events are mixed gender. The aim of the game is to throw leather balls — coloured red or blue (which side gets which is determined by a coin toss) as close as they can to a white target ball, or jack.

Bradford School Games:

We went to Keighley University Academy to compete in the boccia tournament within the Bradford School Games. We played against schools from all over Bradford and ended up coming 1st overall!

West Yorkshire School Games:

Through winning the Bradford School Games we were invited to Leeds Beckett University to compete in the West Yorkshire Games. During the tournament we competed against districts such as Calderdale, Kirklees, Wakefield and Leeds. We managed to get to the final against Halifax High from Calderdale and won 5-3 in sudden death to win the double as Bradford and County champions!!
