Headteachers Blog 11/06/2018

What a fantastic first week back we have had.
Students from years 8, 9 and 10 were given the opportunity to take part in a Battlefields trip to Ypres in Belgium. They had a fantastic time. I am very proud that four of our students were chosen to take part in the Last Post ceremony.

At Friday morning break, I met with 33 year 7 and year 8 students that had competed in the UK Mathematical Trust Junior Challenge 2018. All of the students had achieved a Bronze, Silver or Gold certificate for their participation. Two students have been invited to progress to the next stage of the challenge!

I have lots of photographs that I am very keen to share with you via the website of the excellent work, events, competitions and shows that students have been involved in.
In order for me to be able to share them with you, the school needs to have received your signed consent form.
Students have been given the form which should have made its way to you. If you have not received it, it can be downloaded and printed from the link below.
Please fill in the form and return it back to school as soon as possible, I can then share more of our exciting news with you!

Quite a few of our students have been observing Ramadan. Eid-ul-Fitr is due to fall on Friday the 15th June.
May I take this opportunity to wish those that are celebrating Eid Mubarak.
