On Saturday 9th June, 30 adventurous Year 9’s embarked on their assessed Bronze expedition.
Departing from the moors above Keighley, they navigated their way through the forests and fields that dominate the area, checking in with staff as they ticked off the miles.
Miss Whelam and Miss Gibson were on hand and were very impressed with all the groups’ team work and communication skills.
Mr Fleming and Mr Halliley were rounding up the lost sheep on their bikes, making sure everyone was where they were supposed to be.
The groups made their way to Dales Bank campsite, just above Silsden, where they set up camp and cooked their own meals.
Day 2 was a very foggy start. The route took them across Skipton Moor before a steep descent into Skipton and the finish line.
All the groups had a challenging but rewarding weekend and a great to start their Silver in year 10.
