Headteacher’s Blog 02/10/2018

On Thursday last week, I was delighted to welcome our prospective parents of next year’s year 7 cohort.

The school was filled to the rafters and the atmosphere was positively electric!

I hope that parents and prospective students that attended found the evening most useful, of course if you do have any further questions please get in touch.

On Friday, I had the pleasure of hosting a celebration assembly with students from all year groups that had volunteered their time to assist at the open evening.

The students were an asset to the school, remaining professional, polite and courteous at all times.

I was delighted to welcome the renowned Manga author and artist Sonia Leong to our library on Friday.

Students were able to meet Sonia, have books signed and watch a live demonstration.

It was an excellent opportunity for students to meet such an inspiring guest!

Since the completion of the gas works and re-opening of Leaventhorpe Lane, there has been an increase in the number of issues around parking and student safety. We ask that parents arrange to collect their child on Thornton road and are considerate to the local residents and road laws that are active in the surrounding area.
