Headteacher’s Blog 08/03/2019

Welcome to my blog.

A huge thank you to students that attended the first of our Saturday school sessions last weekend. Although a couple of students had to be coaxed in to school by their families (thank you!), attendance at the session was great!

All of the students that attended showed a great level of commitment to improving their grade in English Language or Maths.

Yesterday, some of our Year 9 students enjoyed an exciting day to The Railway Museum at York. The trip formed part of their studies in Science and as you can see, was enjoyed by all.

Year 12 have had a very busy week being out of school on work experience. Students have had the opportunity to explore different careers that may be of interest to them.

There are lots of events coming up next week. On Wednesday, the whole of Year 8 will be working with trainee teachers from Leeds Trinity in a Maths Problem Solving day.

On Thursday, I am really looking forward to seeing how our Year 10 dance class get on in the Great Big Dance Off regional heats. Good luck to all that are participating!

Well done to all Year 11, 12 and 13 students that have completed their mock exams over the last fortnight. The manner in which the exams have been approached has been really positive.
