Welcome to my blog.
On Monday, I had the pleasure of welcoming a range of people interested in working for the Beckfoot Trust.
Our Student Voice members assisted with the event, welcoming guests and showing them to the venue. Their dedication and professional approaches saw visitors feeding back how impressed they were with the students.
Also on Monday, 26 students from Year 7, attended the Junior Engineering Engagement Programme (JEEP). The J.E.E.P aims to change perceptions of the facilities management industry and show students what a career in facilities management and engineering looks like – opening their eyes to the variety of paths available to them.
Our Year 12 students have had a busy week, meeting with guests from the Cambridge Roadshow on Tuesday and today visiting a university and apprenticeship fair at Elland Road.
I really enjoyed meeting with Year 12 and 13 parents and carers at our parents evening last night. It was fantastic to see so many families!
This afternoon, Year 11 students received their mock exam results in a special assembly.
Parents and carers will want to discuss the results at home with their child, working out what they can do to continue to improve in the time left before the real exams.
Each student will be bringing home an information pack about in school support available, including GCSE pod, an exciting revision site they can use.
In addition, the packs contain hints and tips about what to be doing at home to help and students' individual summer exam timetables.
It has been great to see so many students engaged with period 6 intervention sessions after school, as well as our Saturday morning tuition groups.
Keep up the hard work and revision.
Every day makes a difference!
