Twenty one of our Junior Engineering Engagement Programme students (JEEP) finished their project this July by visiting one of the world’s most famous football stadiums, the home of Manchester United, Old Trafford.
For some it was a dream come true, for others just a chance to look behind the scenes of a major facility.
Our day started with a classroom talk about the ground and it’s hidden uses. Then students got to wear shirts warn by various players.
Next, we got a tour of the ground.
We got to sit in the seats where press conferences are done!
And go into the changing rooms and touch the shirts hanging ready for the next match!
……before walking out of the tunnel onto the pitch! (well, not actually onto the pitch because they are VERY precious about their grass!)
We then we had lunch and looked round the museum before heading home. What an experience!
