Headteacher’s Blog 18/10/2019

Welcome to my blog.

It may appear to have been a quiet couple of weeks here at Beckfoot Thornton, but I can assure you that it hasn’t been!

Our students have been busy beavering away, really focusing on their work, embedding their learning and familiarising themselves with procedures and daily school life.

Following positive feedback from our last Year 11 cohort, in Year 11 assembly this week we launched GCSEPod.  This is a fantastic subject and exam board specific revision website with hundreds of audio visual pods covering all year 11 subjects.  We have already received lots of positive feedback from our students who have started to use the site!

We were delighted to host and run the Bradford School Games Football festival for 100 West Bradford Children this month. It was fantastic to see so many primary school children so engaged and focused!

We are really excited about the Beckfoot Trust Recruitment Evening being held at Beckfoot School, on 23rd October, 4.00-5.30pm.

It is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to teach in our schools, to come and meet us and discuss career possibilities.

If you are, or you know of any trainee, newly qualified or qualified teachers, looking to join a dynamic, exciting and driven Trust, get them to come along.

We would love to meet you/them!
