Catch-Up Funding

Covid 19 Catch Up Premium Funding 2020-21

The government have allocated a one-off universal £650 million catch up premium for the 2020 to 2021 academic year to ensure that schools have the support they need to help all pupils make up for lost teaching time.  Provisional allocations indicate that Beckfoot Trust will receive £558,640 across its 10 schools.  The below paper sets on the spending plans for this funding for Beckfoot Thornton and how that spend has been designed to best support the learners within the school.

Assessment of Impact

As with all government funding, school leaders and governors must be able to account for how the money is being used. Therefore, the impact and spending strategy for this catch-up premium will be reviewed at every Trust Education Committee (TEC) meeting throughout the 2020-2021 academic year. When Ofsted re-commence routine inspections, they will make judgements about the quality of education being provided which will include how we are using the funding to ensure the curriculum has a positive impact on all pupils.
