Welcome to my blog.
Another fantastic week has taken place here at Beckfoot Thornton.
It has been all go!
On Monday, our Year 7 students took part in a virtual road safety tour. It was a fantastic session which we think will really benefit our students.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, Our Y10 Brilliant Club students took part in sessions to discuss a range of different topics, including Medicine. The students had a fabulous time!
Today, our Year 8 students have taken part in a workshop about making positive choices. The students met with visitors from Leeds United, the prison service, WY Police, people that have previously been involved in, or been a victim of crime. It was hard-hitting content, but our students showed real integrity, focus and respect throughout the day. A huge well done to everyone in Year 8!
We are really looking forward to our activities week, which is running next week, the final week of term.
Students have each been provided with a timetable advising them of which activities they are taking part in, on which days.
We are so pleased to be able to offer these wonderful activities. Although it is different for each year group, activities include circus skills, art and design technology activities, STEM activities, sports activities and for some subjects, field trips. We really can't wait!
Finally, here is a picture from a role-play activity from today's positive choices event.
Have a lovely weekend.
