Hello and welcome to my final blog of this academic year. What a strange couple of terms we have had!
As I have said before, I have been so impressed by our students during this uncertain and unfamiliar time. Our students have shown real resilience, courage and confidence, along with really innovative ways of studying from home.
We were really glad to be able to offer a look-after provision for students of key workers, allowing their parents and carers to keep on serving the country, at its time of need.
I would like to say a massive thank you to all our parents, carers, families, and community for supporting us so strongly through this time, we couldn't have got here without you!
You will by now have seen the guidance that I sent out regarding the Year 11 and Year 13 results days. We would have loved to have been able to have our students on site to collect their results, but it really is not worth the risk of increasing transmitting Covid 19.
As and when we are able to, we will look to have a proper send-off for these students who have worked so hard and coped so well throughout the turmoil.
We are really looking forward to welcoming our students back into school in September. A comprehensive guide covering everything from social distancing to start times to uniform has also been sent out this week.
Please take time to read the document carefully, I know it is quite lengthy, but it will allow us to start the new academic year as safely as we can.
All of the key information regarding results days and September opening are available to view via the school website.
The last collection of work of the week can also be seen on the school website. We have had some cracking work this week - students haven't let it being the last week of term slow them down!
All that is left for me to say it is that I hope that you and your families have a fantastic summer break, as different as it may be this year!
