It has been a busy one. We have enjoyed some fantastic trips, including to the Alhambra. Our Year 10 Brilliant Club has been established and Year 13 have sat their mock exams.
The Quad Project has really taken off.
It has come out of the Talent Foundry and ABMs "JEEP" (Junior Engineering and Enterprise Project) and its aim is to create a place in our school that's purpose is to help the wildlife, collect and reuse rainwater, grow food as well as providing a peaceful, colourful, enjoyable space to spend time in. You can see in the photos that we have some work to do!
We want to clear away weeds, cut back the plants to encourage a healthy growth in springtime, grow vegetables, collect water and also improve the area with artwork, fixing pieces that have been broken and putting new pieces in.
We have already started designing pieces of artwork and will be making them soon. We were excited to welcome back to school this month Dave from ABM. He worked with us during the JEEP project, and he presented us with a voucher from ABM to help us start the project! Thank you ABM!
After half-term, students in Year 11 will begin their mock exams. During this time there will be no period 6. The exams will run for two weeks, and I really encourage students to continue to revise over the holiday, as well as making time to recharge.
School is now closed and will re-open to all students on Monday 28th February.
Have a relaxing break.
