Welcome to my blog.
Our Year 10 and Year 12 students have finished completing their mock exams this week. Students have worked really hard and have engaged really well.
We were really disappointed that due to Covid, our Positive Choices event for Year 8 had to be postponed earlier this week. We were really looking forward to it! We are delighted to say that we have been able to rearrange it and it will now be held on Friday 16th July. Further information will be sent out to families closer to the time.
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting with Jack in Year 8 who has successfully completed an orienteering course outside of school. Well done Jack - your picture will be going onto our honours board at the heart of the school so that everyone can see your fantastic achievement!
We have had some excellent work completed this week by our students. It's wonderful to see that so many of our students take pride in their work. Have a look at some examples below:
Further to the message sent to Year 11 families by Mrs Barraclough earlier this week, It is with deep regret that we are unable to hold a Year 11 prom this year.
We are following government guidance and risk assessments at all times, and due to the risks surrounding the dates that Covid restrictions will be lifted, we do not want our families to be further disappointed if such an event had to again be cancelled.
Finally, a reminder that school is closed to all students on Friday next week, the 25th, and Monday 28th June, due to staff training. Students that are not isolating will return to school on Tuesday 29th June.
