Welcome to my blog.
This week, some of our Year 10 students took part in a NextGen Nurse workshop delivered by NHS Healthcare Professionals. Here is the brief of the project:
A brand-new workshop designed in partnership with the NHS aimed at encouraging more students to consider a career in nursing. The workshop will look to dispel and debunk the myths about the sector and inform young people about the amazing opportunities that being a nurse can offer.
Feedback from the workshop was great with one student saying:
'I enjoyed the session about nursing because it helped me to understand more about what the profession was and the paths, I could take to get into it. It also helped me because I am unsure what path I want to take as I have many interests, so it widened my understanding of this one. I am definitely leaning towards nursing
now!'

As you will have seen from communications from school this week, we have had a small number of positive Covid cases within school. Please remind your child to undertake their lateral flow tests twice every week and to maintain a safe social distance wherever possible.
